We carefully source our Koalabu brand wood doll people in the USA to make sure that they are made from the highest quality untreated Birch or Maple hardwoods, and that absolutely no chemicals of any kind were used or applied to the wood. Our wood is kiln dried to help maintain stability and durability. It is very hard and smooth and is highly resistant to denting or splintering.
